The free version of this gps is perfect. Offline maps, location search including landmarks
Probably one of the best gps application offline. Congratulation for your application and thanks you. Its free and better that a normal gps.
A few minor things could be improved, but considering it being a free app, its fantastic.
Fantastic App with offline functionality. Easy to use, great features and for free.
Not bad after testing Im thinking switch to it from navigon
Really like it but would like it to have an option to set the map to lock North always at the top.
I downloaded about 10 different navigation apps and this is one of the best but theres somethings need to be improved such as lane guidance, junction view, voice guidance through the car and audio voice activation, many streets in Edmonton are not covered with speed limit, voice guidance sometimes doesnt work. Aside of these things this app is the best and the cheapest for the features it has, definitely I recommend this app to everyone.
Super Cool and love the add ons So anxious to try on a long trip
Very cool app. Would like the "youre speeding" feature to have different sounds.
Both the free voice guidance and advanced voice guidance options do not work appropriately. They cut out part way through the directions. It makes it unsafe to be looking at the road and the phone for guidance. What I liked about this app was not only the interface but also the voice guidance via my cars Bluetooth but its not working. I also purchased the op-out for ads; seems that the only thing I paid for that works. Have written Navmii for guidance.
I love this app. Works perfectly and its free. It is hard to find anything free anymore. I bought the abuserdly expensive piece of sh&it Navigen for $80 and could not use it once. This app though, worked flawlessly offline. Cant say enough good things about it. I am thinking of donating money to them.
If you travel to the states get the American version and buy the Canadian pack. Can only have one way point. Will erase other way point or "no toll route". Needs data if your on the road to search. Have fun figuring out how it works.
Much better job than my 5 year old dedicated GPS.
Best version of the app to date
Very little of this app works. I cant even get it to display a map!!!
Ive used Google maps for urban walking and it was extremely frustrating. Navmii, on my first test, was far better in recalculating the route if I didnt follow the route Navmii suggested. But, it sucked the hell out of my battery. On average, it took down my iPhone 5 battery at 1% of charge for every 1 minute of navigation. I havent upgraded to the ad free version yet so some of that battery use may have been all the crap being pushed out to my phone. The phone also got very warm when navigating. At walking speed, there shouldnt have been a lot of calculating going on in the app. Id also really like them to optionally remove the music player controls. This is a nav app, not a music app and the music control takes up a disproportionaltely large amount of screen space. Its not like the built in iphone music control is that far away. Finally, in the Location Services menu, Navmii can be set either to "never" or "always" but not "while using" like most other apps that need this service. All things considered, I may buy it anyways to get rid of the ads, because its so cheap. But, I may spend the big bucks and buy the Garmin app for an upcoming London, UK trip (all walking) because I use Garmin on my motorcycle and car and they are far better.
I downloaded this so that I could use it on my motorcycle without having my data on. Because it download maps onto your phone, it works perfect. Takes up a chunk of space on your phone, but thats whats expected for a full offline map. Travelled to Oregon this weekend and downloaded that map for free in this app, worked perfectly! Highly recommend. If the ads bother you, just buy the ad removal add-on for under $3!
Fast and accurate map.
I originally loaded up the app about a year and a half ago. I used it a little, but didnt think it compared very well in ease of use compared to a portable GPS that I had, as well as the stock vehicle GPSs in our cars. This past week, we were traveling in an unfamiliar city, and I rented a car without Nav. I relied on this app and was pleasantly surprised with its abilities. It appeared a bit finicky finding some addresses, but otherwise was good and the speed sensor was very useful in identifying speed limits on poorly signed roads. My portable GPS gave up the ghost a few months ago. After using the app on my phone, I will not bother to replace it.
